From the “Pompeii Pop Up” choir at the Large Theatre to themed music itineraries
Event calendar from 13 December 2025
For the Christmas holidays, the Pompeii Archaeological Park is offering a rich programme of events for families, children and adults. The common thread is music, which—on different dates and in different forms—will accompany visitors across the sites of Greater Pompeii through performances, educational workshops and themed itineraries, turning the sites into creative, welcoming spaces in a festive atmosphere.
Main event in Pompeii
19 December 2025 – Large Theatre, 11:30
POMPEII POP UP: a large spontaneous choir open to everyone, with hundreds of voices. The “improvised” choir will be led by Maestro Carlo Morelli, supported by some soloists from his choir. More than 600 participants are expected.
How to take part
Anyone who would like to participate should be at the Large Theatre of Pompeii at 11:30. You will be given the lyrics to two surprise songs and, after a general rehearsal, everyone will sing together at full voice. A fun and engaging ritual—both social and uplifting—for a morning of celebration and Christmas greetings.
