How the transfer works
The Vesuvio Express service connects Ercolano with the upper access area of Mount Vesuvius.
After boarding in Ercolano, the coach travels up the slopes of the volcano towards the starting area of the Gran Cono visit.
You then have time to visit Mount Vesuvius independently before taking the Vesuvio Express back to Ercolano.
The complete transport experience lasts approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, including the outward and return journeys and the time available at Mount Vesuvius.
Mount Vesuvius ticket is not included

A ticket for the Vesuvius National Park and Gran Cono must be purchased separately.

Visiting the Gran Cono
The shuttle takes visitors towards the entrance area of the Gran Cono, the main visitor route on Mount Vesuvius.
From there, visitors with a valid entrance ticket continue on foot along the volcanic trail towards the crater.
The route includes an uphill walk on volcanic terrain, so comfortable footwear is strongly recommended.
