There's nowhere else like Pompeii in the world. This unique window into ancient history was made possible by the violent eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE, which coated everything in a 12km radius with a thick layer of ash.
So now, you can walk around inside this snapshot of ancient history, and really see how Roman life used to be. See aqueducts, an impressive amphitheater, as well as dwellings, stables, statues, public baths, and fountains.

**Instructions**

- Parking – there is a dedicated spot in front of the IBT office where you can temporarily park while you go to the office. The staff will then guide you to the parking spot, which is behind the IBT office, not far from the Porta Marina Inferiore entrance
- Audio guide & lunch – show your smartphone voucher at the IBT Info Point, near Porta Marina Inferiore, and pick up your audio guide and/or lunch
