(ins. 21, no.5) Its name derives from the garden in which many corpses of Pompeians were found, seized by death as they
were about to flee from the city. Their "impressions" have been left in situ where they were
found. The corpses of the thirteen victims thus provide one of the most vivid and terrible proofs of the disaster. The land was joined to a type of farm-house.
